San Dimas H.E.R.O.E.S. Mission
The San Dimas H.E.R.O.E.S. organization was founded in 2004 by Gary Enderle and Janie Graef with a dual mission. The first goal was to erect banners throughout San Dimas honoring San Dimas individuals currently serving in the military. The second goal was to raise enough funds to construct a permanent Veterans Monument honoring all San Dimas Veterans who have served in the Armed Forces and have been honorably discharged.
The Committee has raised funds and constructed a permanent Monument honoring all veterans who have resided in San Dimas. The San Dimas City Council has designated the northwest corner of San Dimas Avenue/Commercial Street as Freedom Park, the Monument location.
The Monument represents all branches of service and POWs/MIAs and those who have lost their lives while serving. Veterans whose names are followed by a star paid the ultimate price for serving our country and protecting our freedoms.
